Again, if you’re still with me, I understand I am giving you a tremendous amount of what may be for your taste, over the type scientific information, and I also understand if you’re currently more than a little overwhelmed. That’s totally understandable, and my guess is that you’ve been pretty overwhelmed for a while now. This is just a different overwhelming piece of the already overwhelming puzzle. Good news: this is one of the areas where I come in. I can help you first put your child’s profile together, and that will determine which particular specialists your kiddo would benefit from. I am putting together a list of comprehensive specialists in the area, ones that I will have ideally had a chance to speak with, and ultimately do some of the research regarding who takes what insurance, what their experience/primary area of focus is, and ideally, be able to get a good read on “is this someone I would be confident working myself and with my own child?” Which, while I take the experience/areas of expertise/HMO’s that they accept very seriously, my personal perspective is that someone who is naturally skilled with working with kiddos with these particular needs for specific support often goes further than some of those other factors. I will go more in depth about different ways I am going to offer assistance, but I’m sure at this point, there are already people who are on the verge of either a panic attack or an aneurysm. So, I’m going to explain some things to help you decide how to deal with this enormous amount of information (which may involve ignoring the majority of it completely, and that’s totally understandable and I expect that to some degree). For my friends who have not lost patience/faith that I may know a few things regarding this topic, there is much more detail under “Goals for our journey together”
